After a HUGE culture shock, we decided to kick-it in Suny New Paltz, NY with an old friend. We finally caught up on some much needed sleep, and then walked into downtown where vintage shops, good eats (including our first New York slice!), and a view that took our breath away!!Another one of my favorite parts of the trip is when we decided to sneak off, away from the group, and find bikes to borrow (really, borrow...for free! how cool is that!)! We biked all along the "Rail Trail" and found ourselves a spot on the grass to lay and talk about how good God is!! Wow!
Then off to the main event: Strategize by Elizabeth Teachout (ie: best friend, rising star!!) She soon will have her BFA from SUNY New Paltz University!!!!
One last day in the Big Apple!!! Time to paint the town red, see all there is to see, eat all there is to eat, and experience all there is in the magical city of New York!! We had an amazing trip!!! :)Then off to the main event: Strategize by Elizabeth Teachout (ie: best friend, rising star!!) She soon will have her BFA from SUNY New Paltz University!!!!
Although the city was filled with busy people and honking cars... it seemed to all go away when you walked the streets of Central Park. I would have never thought it would have been so peaceful!! We also saw a group from Brazil who were playing an awesome beat in the heart of the park... people were dancing the streets!
Our night ended with the most amazing ride through the city! We had fought our desire to ride on the carriage all day, but in the end... we got a good deal, and made a new friend who made it all worth it!!! (talked him down from $50 to $10 per person!) It absolutely made Times Square memorable!! Thanks Sedat!!
